Savers, a national thrift store chain, plans to open its first Loudoun County location in Sterling’s Sugarland Crossing shopping center by moving into a 35,000 sqft space left vacant when Joann Fabrics closed. Loudoun officials are reviewing proposed changes to the property’s front and rear.

White’s Ferry came closer to reopening Friday, July 24 as Montgomery County acquired a 2.5 acre Maryland ferry landing (in Dickerson) and the owners donated vessels valued over $7 million to enable repairs for restored service once Virginia landing rights are secured.

Construction has begun on the new Chicken Salad Chick at the South King Street Center in Leesburg (a former bank building) where work includes installing a drive-thru lane; the store is the chain's fourth in Northern Virginia and first in Loudoun and is aiming to open in October.
