- ➤ The Loudoun County Hypothermia Prevention Shelter opened on Nov. 15, 2025, to serve single adults facing homelessness in Leesburg by providing a warm indoor space, meals, and secure storage. - ➤ Loudoun County offers free Parenting Wisely sessions to help families manage teen and young child behavior challenges. Virtual teen sessions will run from March 4 to April 1 and virtual young child sessions will begin March 19, with registration required due to limited seats. Loudoun County

- ➤ Leesburg Junction, an events and music venue, has reopened today at 2D Loudoun St (below Casa de Avila) in downtown Leesburg. It will host live music and community events for local residents. Loudoun Times-Mirror
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Parents of over 400 students at Madison’s Trust Elementary in Brambleton have submitted a petition (140 signatures) asking the Loudoun County School Board to delay planned attendance zone changes after a Jan. 15 vote upheld the shifts, which critics say will force children to travel farther. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Loudoun County is undergoing construction at the Route 9 + Route 287 intersection, where temporary signage and lane closures have affected commutes since early November. The project, featuring a new roundabout and widened roadway approaches, will continue through summer. Loudoun County
- ➤ The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors recognized two local employers on Oct. 21, 2025, for their commitment to accessibility and for proclaiming Disability Employment Awareness Month (Celebrating Value and Talent). - ➤ Loudoun County Commissioner of the Revenue, Robert S. Wertz Jr, updated business property assessment schedules effective Jan. 1 based on a benchmarking study by PFM Group Consulting.
