  • Sheriff Chapman’s budget request proposes phasing in School Resource Officers at every elementary school in Loudoun County over the next four years as local parents call for enhanced safety. Local officials are now urged to prioritize protecting students.  Blue Ridge Leader
  • George Washington University sold its Virginia Science and Technology Campus in Ashburn to an undisclosed buyer to boost long-term finances, a Friday letter said. Under the deal, the school may use the site in Loudoun County for up to five years while proceeds help fund research, teaching, and staff bonuses.  WTOP

  • The Army plans to purchase the 150-acre Middleburg Training Center to house its Caisson Detachment horses, a move local horsemen say would harm Virginia’s thoroughbred racing industry.
