- ➤ Seven days after 20-year-old Sudiksha Konanki went missing near a Punta Cana beach, investigators from the Dominican Navy, FBI, and Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office are searching coral reefs and interviewing witnesses after she was last seen with friends following a party at the Riu Republica hotel—Interpol has issued a Yellow Notice to aid the investigation. - ➤ The Loudoun County School Board was briefed on March 11 about Dominion Energy's proposals for the Golden to Mars Transmission Line that would pass close to Rock Ridge High and Rosa Lee Carter Elementary—options include a route as near as 369 feet from the school. - ➤ Loudoun Supervisors are studying a plan to capture methane from the county’s landfill and turn it into renewable natural gas for buses and the electric grid—this project may lead to building a plant costing at least $20 million or partnering with a private firm.
