- ➤ Loudoun County’s first Qdoba restaurant is set to open next Monday, March 24 in Ashburn at the Ashbrook Commons shopping center — replacing a former Sweet Frog froyo shop. The restaurant will hold practice openings this weekend and offer free burritos for a year to the first 100 customers — marking its grand opening celebration. The Burn
- ➤ Family owners Stephanie and Abraham Avila will open Casa De Avila, a Guadalajara-inspired Mexican restaurant, in the former Trungo’s space on Leesburg’s Loudoun Street by May 5. The restaurant will feature traditional recipes and birria tacos (an expansion from their successful takeout operation in the Commissary Kitchen and ChefScape incubator). Loudoun Now

- ➤ A 33-year-old Sterling man, Anthony James Delisio, was charged with felony arson of an occupied dwelling and misdemeanor arson for setting a hotel room door on fire on March 19 — the occupant extinguished the flames and officials later confirmed the act was intentional. Loudoun Now
- ➤ The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating two non-fatal suspected student overdoses at Park View High School in Sterling + officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incidents. Loudoun Times-Mirror
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Round Hill Town Council is seeking a new member after Dan Brzezynski resigned Wednesday night to move north of town. The council will advertise for volunteers through April and vote to appoint a replacement in May — a special election is expected in November to fill the seat until Dec. 31, 2027. Loudoun Now
- ➤ Eight bills sponsored by Loudoun legislators were approved by Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Wednesday during his first signing session — including three from Sen. Russet Perry, two from Del. Atoosa Reaser, one from Del. David Reid, and one from Del. Marty Martinez—that focus on behavioral health, agriculture, legal representation fees, and technology updates. The bills passed with bipartisan support ahead of the Monday deadline, and 46 additional bills remain pending the governor’s action. Loudoun Now
