- ➤ Giacomo Galimberti is celebrating a new larger location for his Leesburg wine store today with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. He opened the original store downtown in 2021 and will expand the business with vocational wine classes, continued First Friday tastings and new wine club options. - ➤ The Nautical Bowls restaurant at Lansdowne Town Center in Leesburg announced it will close on March 31—citing unsustainable business operations. It opened in October 2023 as the first Nautical Bowls in Northern Virginia and invites customers to enjoy their bowls until the closing date. The Burn

- ➤ Virginia’s Supreme Court reversed Brian Kuang-Ming Welsh's conviction for the 2018 murders of Mala and Rishi Manwani in Aldie — he was serving two life sentences and the case will be sent back to the prosecutor to decide if he faces a new trial. WTOP

- ➤ Loudoun County Public Schools honored local businesses, nonprofits & individuals during a morning awards breakfast for supporting Career and Technical Education programs. - ➤ A new children’s enrichment center combining Snapology’s STEAM programs and The Little Gym’s gymnastics classes opened earlier this month at the Village at Leesburg retail center in a 9,000 s.f. storefront—offering hands-on learning and physical activity for kids. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After Dominion Energy cleared four miles of trees along the W&OD Trail in Fairfax County, Loudoun supervisors directed staff to examine the impact on Leesburg’s nearby trail section and to push for more selective pruning. Dominion said its review followed new safety regulations—officials added they would work with NOVA Parks to better balance community needs with power reliability. Loudoun Now
- ➤ The Town of Leesburg has posted its draft zoning ordinance online with a built-in public comment system that accepts feedback until May 5th. The Planning Commission will hold work sessions starting April 3rd to review the proposals—then the Town Council will receive regular updates on the revisions. Loudoun Now
- ➤ Gov. Glenn Youngkin toured Oak Hill near Aldie last week after Del. Geary Higgins invited him to review the 1,240-acre historic estate owned by Tom and Gayle DeLashmutt and meet with The Conservation Fund as part of efforts to turn it into a state park.
