- ➤ Loudoun wineries are joining the first-ever Virginia Women in Wine Trail — a new event — that began this month and includes 11 local vineyards. - ➤ Shiloh Manor Farm will hold a spring chamber music recital and dinner on April 12 at 6 p.m. at 14781 Berlin Turnpike in Purcellville — professors and noted musicians will play works by Telemann, Vivaldi and Bach, and chef Erik Foxx Nettnin will serve a French dinner — celebrating the season. - ➤ The spring high school musical season begins this weekend as several schools launch productions across Loudoun County—bringing high energy with song and dance. The shows will run for the next two weeks and give the community a variety of live entertainment options. Loudoun Times-Mirror

- ➤ Lovettsville's new 20,000-square-foot fire-rescue station opened last week and is almost complete with upgrades that add safety and comfort for firefighters, including a hot decontamination area (the first in the county) and an on-site gear cleaning station (which cuts cleaning time). - ➤ The Leesburg Town Council approved a $158 million fiscal year 2026 budget that holds the real estate tax rate at 17.74 cents and cuts the $25 vehicle registration fee by a 5-2 vote Tuesday night — the council shifted $120,000 from the stormwater system fund to avoid a tax increase while expecting future data center revenue. The council also unanimously backed a $467.6 million capital improvements program for fiscal years 2026—2031. Loudoun Now
- ➤ Gov. Glenn Youngkin set requirements to establish Oak Hill State Park if The Conservation Fund provides a comprehensive funding plan confirming $52 million to cover acquisition, development + operation. The guidelines call for a community foundation to manage an endowment and for creating a Citizen Support Organization with reports due by Aug. 31 and Dec. 1, and the General Assembly will review the amendment on April 2. - ➤ The Round Hill Town Council voted last week to keep the town’s low 6.6-cent property tax rate, add a 2% meals tax, and increase water rates — a plan expected to bring in about $80,000 a year from prepared food sellers after last year’s annexation of the Hill High commercial complex and help cover a waived $25 vehicle license fee next year. These measures mark the council’s first decision in nearly a decade not to lower the real estate tax rate. Loudoun Now
- ➤ County leaders endorsed a proposal by Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Michael R. Turner to study microgrids and onsite backup generators as part of phase two of the county’s Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance amendments for data center regulations.
