Good morning, Leesburg.
LAWS Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services announced Samantha Clarke as its new CEO, and she will lead the organization as it expands vital services in Loudoun County.

On March 29th, hundreds of volunteers combed Loudoun County to remove spotted lanternfly egg masses from 12 sites including Bluemont Vineyard and the Exeter neighborhood in Leesburg using cards that scraped off dozens of eggs per sack.
The Scrape for the Grape campaign—organized by Visit Loudoun with local partners—aimed to reduce damage to area vineyards that produce over 2,300 tons of grapes annually.
Starting April 1 and running through May 18, the 12th annual Poetry Contest at Loudoun County Public Library invites teens and adults from the region to submit original, unpublished poems online for cash prizes.
Winners will be announced on June 13 at an award ceremony hosted by poet laureate Emerita Holly Karapetkova — winning poems will be published in a free eBook — and entries can compete in Spoken Word, Free Verse, or Poems that Rhyme categories.
