  • The new Open Air Market at Dulles Town Center in Sterling opened today and drew large crowds who visited food trucks, vendors, and craftspeople. EatLoco will run the market every Sunday (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) through the fall.  The Burn

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Saturday, March 29, a bald eagle treated for a shoulder fracture and lead poisoning was released at Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve in Leesburg. Officer Acosta and wildlife rehabilitator Kristi Titus led the release — a sign of the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center’s work with over 3,500 wild animals each year.  The Burn

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Last week, Round Hill installed five driver-alert speed limit signs on its main entrance roads—after a two-year speed study showed most drivers exceeded limits by more than 10 miles per hour—and the county government funded $150,000 for the project at the town’s request.  Loudoun Now
  • A dedication ceremony was held Saturday in Lovettsville for the new Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Station #12 on Berlin Turnpike. County officials and first responders spoke about the improved design that reduces the spread of contaminants—supporting safer operations funded by tax dollars.  WTOP
