- ➤ Today, the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce honored 174 local heroes for their brave acts at its Valor Awards ceremony, giving medals, citations and a special award for service. - ➤ A Beechcraft A36 departed Leesburg at 2:35 p.m. today and crash landed in Spotsylvania County when its pilot reported an oil pressure issue; the two people on board received treatment for minor injuries at Mary Washington Hospital (the aircraft is registered to Two Zulu LLC) and authorities have notified the FAA and NTSB (Virginia State Police are investigating the incident). - ➤ Frontier Airlines Flight 4708 from Atlanta landed on Wednesday at Dulles and was held on Runway 19R when a beeping noise was reported from the cargo hold. Airport officials evacuated passengers at 2:30 p.m.—and after a thorough search the flight was cleared and resumed service once baggage was reunited with its passengers. WTOP

- ➤ The Loudoun County Public Schools board will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Administration Building to consider renaming Mercer Middle and Frances Hazel Reid Elementary—proposals that have sparked mixed reactions from board members since the process began in 2020. - ➤ Loudoun Credit Union will relocate its headquarters and only branch to 6 W Market Street in historic downtown Leesburg this fall.
