  • Loudoun County's first Wonder restaurant will open on Thursday, Apr. 30 at the Fort Evans Plaza II center in Leesburg. The multi-restaurant kitchen will prepare meals from 20 eateries with orders taken online, via an app, or at digital kiosks — additional locations are planned for Sterling and Ashburn.  The Burn
  • Leesburg’s new Crimson Coward restaurant is opening Wednesday — April 29 — at Bellewood Commons on East Market Street after postponing its initial Monday launch as team members train inside.  The Burn
  • A local business owner warns the county's 1% vacancy rate in flex and light industrial space is hurting small and mid-sized businesses' chance to expand services. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Blue Ridge Middle School earned its Virginia Project ADAM Heart Safe School designation on February 26, 2026 after meeting strict safety standards including CPR, AED, and emergency drills. A PTO grant helped certify extra staff (ensuring ongoing readiness for cardiac emergencies) for the school.  Blue Ridge Leader

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • During last week's Board of Supervisors meeting, local leaders were honored with environmental excellence awards for sustainability and community contributions. The awards recognized efforts ranging from Leesburg's 338 Net Zero building by Peter Burnett to innovative stormwater management and educational projects (like the student-led single-use plastic reduction library).  Loudoun Now

  • Rep. Suhas Subramanyam held a small-town hall on Saturday morning to address local mental health resource gaps for firefighters and EMTs. SPORTS NEWS

  • Virginia Valley Vipers hosted Moving and Grooving Night on Sunday, offering on-court games, dancing, and a halftime performance by the Loudounettes.
