  • Leesburg leaders celebrated a $6.3 million sidewalk project on May 29 that filled missing segments and enhanced drainage along Morven Park Road (preserving large spruce trees). Mayor Kelly Burk said the project resulted from years of community meetings and created safer neighborhood connections.  Loudoun Now
  • Voting is underway for the 2026 Loudoun's Favorites Readers' Poll where readers submit picks in six sections - Community, Food and Drink, Places, Health and Wellness, People, and Businesses. The poll will end Tuesday, June 30 and winners will be announced in July.  Loudoun Now

  • Construction is underway on the new Guacado Mexican Grill at AutoZone Center on East Market Street in Leesburg + the restaurant will be the brand's first Virginia site, although its opening date has not been announced.  The Burn

  • Children's book authors Oge Mora and Rafael Lopez led a two-day literacy tour in Sterling last week, visiting elementary schools on Friday and hosting Rally for Reading with music, dancing + crafts at the Sterling Community Center on Saturday.   • Ashburn’s first all-female hockey team, The Flying V’s, brings fun and surprises to Ashburn Ice House with bagpipes, homemade bread, and duck calls. Created by captain Katie Eibner, the team adds a creative twist to local sports.  The Burn
