- ➤ Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services is launching the free Lemonade Stand LIVE Concert Series this summer to bring children’s music to parks. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Loudoun County Public Schools is beginning its three-week graduation season after hosting a virtual ceremony for distance learners last week. North Star School will hold its first in-person ceremony on June 3 (10:30 a.m.) and other schools are scheduled to celebrate until June 18. Loudoun Now
- ➤ After 16 years as provost, Julie Leidig retired in May after transforming NOVA's Loudoun Campus from a small college into a major center for dual enrollment and workforce training. Her work improved facilities & strengthened community ties that now boost local education. Loudoun Now
- ➤ The Loudoun Education Foundation provided 200 graduating seniors from Park View, Dominion and Tuscarora with used laptops today; the computers were updated by ACCESS Academy with support from Microsoft and Sycamore Sustainable Electronics Recycling to help students complete schoolwork.
