Good morning, Leesburg.

On Wednesday, the Leesburg Architecture Board reviewed plans for a mixed-use redevelopment on South King Street that proposes an L-shaped structure at 211 S.
King St and a separate building at 4-6 South St with retail, office and residential units. Town planners raised issues with scale and floodplain risks and deferred part of the review to an Aug. 4 work session—while developer Kevin Ash said the project uses existing non-conforming properties to respect local height trends—adding that he hopes the design will balance King Street’s progression.
