- ➤ A park at 347 Silver Ridge Dr. was dedicated as a tribute to volunteer firefighter Trevor Brown, who died in a home explosion on February 14 while responding to a gas leak along Silver Ridge Drive—community members, local businesses, and first responders helped create the memorial. - ➤ Graffiti & Silk is offering free weaving lessons on most Saturdays and one Thursday each month at its 860 E Main St location in Purcellville as part of the Community Weaving Project—a partnership between Fiber Guild of the Blue Ridge and Mobile Hope that supports at-risk youth. - ➤ Waterford resident George J. Haas has his paper published in the Journal of Astrobiology, where he and co-author William R. Saunders show that NASA images reveal a mile-long square structure on Mars.
