  • Construction started on Curry Pizza House at Loudoun Station in Ashburn where it will take up about 2,000 s.f. next to Sola Salon Studios and the AMC theater. The fast-casual restaurant will serve both classic pizza and South Asian dishes and will open in November — if progress remains steady — as part of new business growth in the area.  The Burn

CRIME NEWS

  • Purcellville Town Manager Kwasi Fraser and Vice Mayor Carl 'Ben' Nett—charged with felony bid rigging and commercial fraud over a $12,000 consulting contract—appeared in court Monday, and former senator Dick Black said the case is a weaponization of the justice system.  WTOP
  • Loudoun County police arrested two suspected members of the Felony Lane Gang after a March investigation linked a stolen check cashed in Sterling and a theft from a Leesburg farm to similar crimes across Northern Virginia and Maryland—Rickie Noel, 21, was caught in Haines City while Freddrick Holmes, 28, was arrested in St. Croix County, and both now face charges for identity theft, credit card theft and grand larceny.  WTOP
  • Purcellville Vice Mayor Ben Nett and Town Manager Kwasi Fraser appeared in court on Monday morning on multiple felony charges involving misuse of a law enforcement database and alleged government contract fraud—trial review is set for Sept. 4 while further motions will be filed in the cases.  Loudoun Now
