- ➤ After two federal mistrials, the Department of Justice secured a new indictment on July 16 against Loudoun businessmen Edward Walsh Vaughan and Hadi Akkad, who are accused of conspiring to commit fraud — prosecutors also issued a notice to seize assets including Fly Ace Farm distillery and The Winery at Droumavalla, and the next trial will begin on Jan. 5 in Sherman, TX —.
