Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 17th of August.
Good morning, Leesburg.
💼 Business
Deli Italiano opened its new location at 3 Catoctin Circle SE in Leesburg—taking over a building that was a Thai restaurant and now divided between its dining area and space for a future tenant.
The restaurant, known for its pizzas and robot servers, adds to its five-location chain in Northern Virginia.
Ms. Peach’s Southern Kitchen will open its doors Tuesday, August 26 in Loudoun County at Sterling’s Great Falls Plaza—taking over the former Locals Tacos & Tequila spot—and will serve hearty southern fare such as Signature Fried Chicken and Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop.
🎓 Education
On Friday, The Arc of Loudoun announced it will run its Aurora School educational services at The National Conference Center (its new temporary home) while it seeks a restraining order against Paxton Trust after being locked out of its longtime Leesburg campus; the school remains closed to students through August 20 as staff get ready for a possible reopening if the injunction is granted.
