Pikes Peak Lemonade is holding its grand opening celebration Saturday, Sep.
12 at 106 South Street SE in the Market Station complex. The event offers a 10:30 a.m. ribbon cutting, prize giveaways until 2 p.m., $2 refills, samples of Warm Candied Apple lemonade and treats from Brooks Bakery.

Bricks & Minifigs, the first store in Loudoun County, has put up its sign on the building at Fort Evans Plaza off Fort Evans Road NE, where Hobby Lobby & Home Depot are nearby.
The store will open in October if final inspections go smoothly.

Michael Morell recounts his 9/11 memories with documentary producer David Taylor at the Douglas Community Center (407 E.

The Loudoun County School Board continued its talk on the 2028-29 calendar on Tuesday, weighing eight proposals from a year-round option to one that uses only federal holidays.
The board will decide at its next meeting as families & staff gave mixed feedback.
Ashburn District School Board member Griffiths and Sheriff Chapman will host a town hall meeting on school safety on Sept.
29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Trailside Middle School at 20325 Claiborne Pkwy in Ashburn; the event will cover e-bike safety, crossing guards, and resource officers.

Battery fires are on the rise during hot summer months, and WM urges Leesburg residents to keep batteries out of the trash by using proper drop-off sites — including National Battery Take-Back Day on Sept.
12 for safe recycling.
