- ➤ Santos O. Muñoz and Jonathon A. Pepper are competing for the Dulles District seat on the Loudoun County School Board as board chair Melinda M. Mansfield is not running for re-election+ the candidates will soon share their plans with voters. Loudoun Times-Mirror
- ➤ At a Sept. 16 Loudoun County School Board committee meeting, Chief Rae Mitchell presented LCPS discipline data showing that 930 students—about 1.1% of the student body—were suspended and 4,524—3.7%—were reported to law enforcement, marking the highest numbers in at least four years. Mitchell said the drop from 4.6% in police reports is linked to dropping nine violation types from mandatory reporting—an effort that may affect future discipline records. Loudoun Now
