EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Loudoun County Public Schools reported a $7 million shortfall in its operating fund and nearly $26 million in its healthcare fund from lower enrollment and rising claim costs. The division raised premiums by 12% effective Jan. 1 and plans a further hike in 2027 to add extra funds—officials said extra measures like targeted spending cuts or hiring freezes may be needed if federal funding lapses—to help protect student programs.
