CULTURE NEWS

  • The Legend of Sleepy Hollow production will open Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at Franklin Park Arts Center and run through Oct. 26 with four performances. Directed by Diego De La Espriella, the limited show blends dynamic staging with a family-friendly retelling—tickets cost $15 and admission is free for LCPS students—promising an engaging start to the Halloween season.  Blue Ridge Leader

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Loudoun County Public Schools will launch a Global & Linguistic Studies Academy at Dominion High School next fall to serve 400 students with career paths focusing on Arabic leadership and Mandarin business, including daily language courses and dual enrollment options. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Piedmont Environmental Council piloted an agrivoltaics project at its community farm near Aldie — the project uses 42 solar panels with vegetable beds planted with fall crops to power operations and store extra energy — and local officials praised the approach as a model that could help guide similar efforts on other Virginia farms.  Loudoun Now

  • A New York lodging company is planning a small hotel resort with 40 rooms, an 88-seat restaurant and a spa on 147 acres in southwest Loudoun County, extending into Fauquier and Clarke counties—official plans are under review by county staff.
