- ➤ Today, artists began painting 3D murals on each entrance to Lassiter Way in downtown Leesburg as part of the beautification project approved by the Town Council. Artist Ennedi Shtanko on Market Street is painting a stairwell, mountain, and vineyard scene — Danielle Ferrin on Loudoun Street is creating a warped flower design inspired by the town’s Flower and Garden show with both expected to finish by 5 p.m. Loudoun Now

- ➤ Leesburg’s Bowlero at the Village at Leesburg center will soon rebrand as Lucky Strike—part of a move by the owner after similar changes at other locations. No official conversion date or redesign plans have been announced. The Burn
- ➤ The Mighty Midget, a historic Leesburg restaurant built from World War II aircraft aluminum, is moving closer to reopening at its original location after extensive restoration. Owner Avis Renshaw plans to revive its classic menu using local ingredients, though there is no set schedule for when the restaurant will open. Loudoun Now
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students at Leesburg Elementary are riding a new bike bus run by school staff every Wednesday, joining a two-mile route with fixed stops that lets them get on or off safely. About 60 riders (including some parents) now enjoy the ride, and Wednesday attendance has risen to 97%. Loudoun Now
- ➤ Loudoun County Public Schools administrators outlined innovative strategies to reduce hate incidents and racial slurs in the division and are working with staff and community partners to create a respectful school environment.
