- ➤ Thompson Restaurants will close Sterling’s Velocity Wings at Great Falls Plaza this weekend with Sunday as the final day and will use November to revamp the space for the new Austin Grill that will offer Tex-Mex dishes. The restaurant will serve items such as egg rolls, tacos, fajitas, smoked brisket nachos, and barbecue wings — its patio will be redesigned as a margarita garden and the bar will feature a full selection of tequilas. - ➤ The Chimney Cake Bakery, which has operated since April on Enterprise Boulevard in Sterling, has closed its current spot as it prepares to move to a location in Dulles Town Center.
