  • Loudoun environmental educator Miriam Westervelt received the Virginia Garden Club Conservation Educator Award at the 67th annual Conservation Forum in Portsmouth—recognizing her work training teachers and students in outdoor learning.   • On Halloween morning, pediatric patients at Inova Loudoun Hospital saw real-life superheroes when members of Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue dressed in costumes and rappelled down the building to cheer them up.
