  • A Lovettsville family led by Lillian Giger will honor 340 veterans by laying wreaths on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Lovettsville Union Cemetery near New Jerusalem Lutheran Church—supported by local groups, they invite volunteers to sponsor a $17 wreath to pay tribute to those who served.  Loudoun Now
  • On Nov. 11, the George C. Marshall International Center held its 21st annual ceremony at Dodona Manor in Leesburg to honor military veterans and mark the 80th anniversary of the final months of World War II — keynote speaker Blake Hall recounted his combat experience and urged local support for veterans transitioning to civilian life.  Loudoun Now

  • Hamilton could soon have a new restaurant if Jason Brownell’s proposal to convert the old firehouse on East Colonial Highway into a bar and grill that welcomes families is approved by the Town Council. Brownell said the project will need extensive renovations (including a new roof and ADA bathrooms) with a total cost of at least $500,000 (covering interior fit-up costs) and may generate $1 million per year in revenue.  Loudoun Now

  • Leesburg is getting a new wellness center called SweatHouz that leased a 2,100 s.f. space at Marketplace at Potomac Station—near Giant, First Watch and Best Buy. The center will offer infrared saunas, cold plunge and vitamin-c showers and is set to open in 2026.  The Burn
