- ➤ Loudoun County Public Schools said last night that unpaid meal debt rose 52% and free and reduced lunch requests increased 180% over last year. Administrators noted that inflation and changes in federal programs may be behind the rise — leaders will seek solutions during the upcoming budget season. Loudoun Now
- ➤ Staff and students at Broad Run High School asked Loudoun County Public Schools to add secure storage and safe workspaces for the theater program after repeated concerns about limited space and outdated facilities — school administrators said improvements are planned as part of the upcoming capital budget pending School Board approval. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ County leaders and community members voiced concerns over a revised memorandum of understanding between Loudoun County Public Schools, the Sheriff’s Office, and Leesburg Police that removed a 60-day training requirement for school resource officers.
