- ➤ The Loudoun Pride Foundation is asking to keep the rainbow crosswalk on Harrison Street permanent after town council set a 120-day limit on artistic crosswalks and advised a deferral of its removal. - ➤ Every Saturday, six inmates at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center in Leesburg work on the Finished4Good program—repairing furniture that is later donated to local nonprofits. Loudoun Times-Mirror

- ➤ 810 Entertainment opened yesterday at Dulles Town Center in Sterling and now occupies the lower level of the former Sears store. The new venue offers bowling alleys, video games, axe throwing and a full restaurant with a milkshake bar (Mean Mugs) and will face stiff competition when a similar venue opens in 2026. The Burn
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Loudoun County Public Schools saw a 52% rise in unpaid meal debt and a 180% jump in free and reduced lunch applications during a recent board meeting, with meal prices increased by 20 cents to $3.55. Students received basic meals despite negative balances and families were notified when debts exceeded $5 (unpaid debt is cleared each fiscal year). WTOP

- ➤ Doug Graham, a top archer and state champion, was told on October 20 that he had stage 4 esophageal cancer after he had trouble swallowing during a tournament.
