COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services will host WinterFest at Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—families will enjoy ice-themed activities, a winter market, and free children’s events with no registration needed.  Blue Ridge Leader
  • Dozens of residents at Leesburg Mobile Home Park gathered at Mobile Hope complex Saturday night to support 85 families who received letters in July to vacate as the park is set to close. Local groups and New Virginia Majority leaders say high rent prices force families to leave the area (with many already looking at options outside the county) while property owner David Gregory is offering relocation incentives (up to $10,000 in assistance).  Loudoun Now

  • Loudoun County's Honor Brewing released an artist’s rendering of its upcoming taproom and restaurant at Dulles International’s under-construction Concourse E. The new outlet is part of a push to bring local brands to airports—its location will open in fall 2026.  The Burn
  • BurgerFi in the Village at Leesburg will reopen soon under new management—its unchanged interior hints at a planned return after 13 years in business, though no reopening date has been set.  The Burn
  • Wonder, a multi-restaurant eatery, is planning a new location in Sterling at Cascades Marketplace next to Taco Bamba. The concept will offer self-ordering stations for carryout and delivery with a range of cuisines and follows a recent opening in Reston, though no opening date has been announced.  The Burn

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Long known as the world’s largest data center hub, Loudoun County will host an Energy Innovation Forum in spring 2026 to explore energy solutions for growing industry demand—requested by Supervisor Laura A. TeKrony to gather expert insights. County staff are still finalizing the event scope and costs while partnering with the Environmental Commission and National Renewable Energy Laboratory.  Loudoun Now

HEALTH NEWS

  • Loudoun County will host free behavioral health training sessions in December, with several courses offered both virtually and in person. Sessions include an ACEs training on Dec. 15 (registration closes Dec. 14), Adult Mental Health First Aid on Dec. 3, Youth Mental Health First Aid on Dec. 16, and Virtual REVIVE! on Dec. 18, while Rapid REVIVE! is available anytime without registration.  Blue Ridge Leader
