- ➤ The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office in partnership with Cole's Closet is asking for new, unwrapped toy donations to benefit children spending Christmas in the hospital at INOVA Lansdowne. Community members can drop off toys at several local locations before today, and Santa will deliver them next week. Loudoun Now

- ➤ Johanna's Bakery and Restaurant opened last week at 7 Catoctin Circle SE. The new business offers all-day meals and a range of pastries (including personalized cakes) inspired by Hispanic and Central American cuisine. Loudoun Now
- ➤ A fast-casual Indian restaurant called Desi District has opened in South Riding at Gum Spring Village Center off Route 50. The restaurant started its soft opening this week and will add more menu items soon as part of the chain's expansion into Virginia. The Burn

- ➤ Leesburg Council approved removal of part of the former Britewash Auto building to convert it into an express car wash at the Shops at Russell Branch. Edge Express Car Wash (an express service) will add parking and outdoor vacuums, expanding capacity from 11 to 26 spaces. Loudoun Now
