  • Creighton Farms unveiled its new member lounge, The Oak, last month for its club members. The venue features a speakeasy tasting room, custom cocktails, and eight TVs for gameday watch parties while supporting an Invitational Golf Tournament that benefits a local children's healthcare foundation.  Loudoun Now
  • Organizers announced plans for the 35th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King March and Celebration, set to begin at 10 a.m. Jan. 19 at the Loudoun County Courthouse in Leesburg. The event will honor Dr. King's legacy with a community march and celebration.  Loudoun Times-Mirror

  • Leesburg filmmaker Owen Palmiotti is reviving his passion project film about Olympian Bill Havens — a tale of love and sacrifice halted by the pandemic — by recruiting a director and actors to secure funding. EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Loudoun County School Board approved its 2026 legislative priorities on Tuesday. The board set six focal points—boosting education funding, updating SOL tests, supporting teacher housing, and expanding mental health resources—that aim to strengthen local school services.  Loudoun Now
  • Loudoun County Public Schools published guidance for parents after approving a ban on personal phones and devices during the instructional day, effective January 5. Students with special education or English learner accommodations may apply for exemptions.  Loudoun Now

  • On Dec. 15, the State Corporation Commission heard opening arguments for Dominion Energy's Golden to Mars proposal to build new transmission lines in eastern Loudoun amid over 20 hours of public testimony (including concerns about community impact) and delayed further evidence until Jan. 8.  Loudoun Now
  • Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced on Thursday $154.5 million in affordable and special needs housing loans, including $19.5 million for five Loudoun County projects (supporting senior apartments and family housing through True Ground, TM Associates, SCG Development and Wellington Development Partners).  Loudoun Now
