- ➤ County Parks, Recreation and Community Services staff finalized plans for a 40-mile trail loop that will give 150,000 residents access to schools, parks, and local landmarks in Loudoun County — the loop is part of the Loudoun Trails and Waterways initiative and will open in stages as missing links are completed. - ➤ On Tuesday, staff from Loudoun County Public Schools recommended the names VIEW Transition Academy and RISE Academy for new schools designed to help students with disabilities and high school students recovering from substance abuse—details now move to legal and staff reviews for a formal vote in August. - ➤ Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy marked 30 years of protecting local wildlife and building programs by growing from a small group to over 600 volunteers who provide 15,500 service hours each year.
