EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Loudoun County students had SOL pass rates higher than state averages in most subjects but English Learner groups struggled with much lower scores. LCPS officials said raising cut scores in math and reading may make tests harder — they warned the new standards could challenge students if the changes do not work as planned. Loudoun Now

- ➤ Loudoun County Treasurer Henry C. Eickelberg testified at Rock Ridge High School on Sept. 29 to urge the commission to ensure Dominion Energy’s proposed Golden to Mars transmission line project strengthens the regional grid and protects local communities.
